Was responsible for the first passes of the Planet Koboh mainly the Forest section in the world.
Was put in charge of working with Design and Concept to establish the look and feel for the Basalt Koboh Forest on the planet Koboh. Our goal was to capture something slightly alien yet familiar, pushed the idea that tree's were more scarce due to the tall basalt formations that resulted in Tree Like growths -- taking the place of tree-trunks.
I like to do quick blockins of the spaces before placing any art, to capture the mood, composition and feel of this space. I think that is the most important part in Environmental Art, is establishing the initial play feel and working with design EARLY to capture any pitfalls that might come from placing art.
Please excuse early in process photo's of the area, this was a couple years out from release and shows the first initial passes of art, worked closely with design, concept and lighting to achieve an interesting look for this section.
